How the hell did it go from "a bit crusty but nothing much to worry about" to "don't take the hardtop off or it'll break in two" in 12 months and 2k miles? .........
I thought exactly the same!

I sent you a message earlier today but thought I’d mention on here as well.

I recently bought a NA that was suffering from rust issues. With a methodical approach, it wasn’t too difficult at all to get the repairs completed and the car back on the road with an advisory free MOT. I intend to get a build thread going on here in the readers ride section.

I see you’re in Kent, so if you wanted some help or input let me know and I’d be happy to swing past.

I think these little NA Mazdas are great fun, super refreshing to drive and it would be a shame for this one to end with scrapping!

Mine was in a poor state. and similar age back story.

Once opened up the can of worms, the scope of repair obviously grew and grew.

Zero regrets in having it remade. (albeit I used a garage / work that was maybe a third of that price.)

Worth a second opinion on the work I feel.
