Thanks. Don't mind paying more if I can avoid ebay.
If your giving free money away, let me get you one, and send me £30 quid for my troubleroflrofl
TBH it was something I was considering asking the guy (sorry, forget his name) who knows a hell of a lot about classic Omegas to do... I just don't like ebay because it's very easy to scam.

I've heard of Toshi, maybe its the pics, but this strap is pretty heavy dutyyes I saw the Orange one on his website. Just a shame he's out of stock, but on speaking to him, he says he's got some new designs and materials coming soon.

Very helpful chapthumbup

I'm not normally a fan of leather straps, but that looks really goodsmokin

I would consider something like that for mine, as a change from time to time.

Did any of you guys who bought your Monster's from RK WatchHouse get any confirmation that your watches had been dispatched? I've sent a couple of emails to RK but no response as yet??

I had this! I thought I would get an Email the next day to confirm it had been dispatched, as I had paid pretty much straight away.

I didn't get anything, so I emailed him the next day and got a reply saying it had been dispatched and would be with me the next day! Which it was!

I worried to start with, especially 'cause it was my first buy on Ebay, but it was fine in the end, he has really good feedback aswell, so I'm sure you'll have no problems!

I rather like that one. What is it though ? The snk80x series have the numerals the other way around - 5/10/15 etc large and the hours small.

the image properties for that one say snx807K-2. I dont know seiko part numbers - I can see that the third numeral (7 in this case) is the colour, does the x instead of the k reverse the numeral size? I'd like it in black with a fabric strap what part number do I need?

Also where / how much for servicing a seiko 5? My last one has started playing up - doesnt run for long - and its only 25 years old.

thanks

Mark

Don't know where you are based, but been quoted £52 for a service for Seiko automatics (only required every 7 years) by my local specialist watch place, Nottingham Watch & Clock, contact details:

Love the monster, it's a great watch for the money. Mine has a modified face.

Is that bead blasted as well? Yobokies? How did you go about ordering - it's a nice improvement on the standard dial IMO - I might be tempted with one the same...

Um... How much is a Seiko 5 again?

TBH I've got a cheapo from the mid-80s and it works fine; never considered servicing it. If it breaks I'll bin it.

Thanks for the reply but as Mr Ninja says, with a new one coming in at much the same price, I think that I'll be ordering a new one.

I take it that that RussianWatches.co.uk site is OK? I guess I'm not going to get much cheaper?

You can get 'em on Ebay for £130, but by the time you add delivery, they end up being around £137!

If that other site includes delivery, then they are the cheapest, I think.

That one is bead blasted but mine has the standard finish.

I've no idea about ordering I'm afraid. I got mine on the sales corner on TZ-UK, but Yobokies is a member on there so may be worth joining and firing him off an e-mail. I struggled to find out much about him and the watch mods TBH.

One thread on TZ-UK suggested emailing yobokies@yahoo.com.hk ask for Harold?

Just bought a new Black Monster from Ebay seller "great-watch".

Arrived next day, exactly as described. Very pleased.

No connection with the seller, just a satisfied customer.

Think the Monsters are a bit tacky myself, remind me of cheap Gul/Quilksilver type "surf" watches.

Get yourself one of these.....
