I like watching it but the guy who does it does seem to have a knack of making every landing sound like a tragedy has been narrowly averted.

We live some miles from Heathrow but if the wind is in the right direction on the top floor I can hear them take off, it comes at a certain point displayed in the app. Half way down the runway so probably when they leave the ground!
Not related to this but growing up when we would drive past raf Northolt I used to pray for the lights to come on so I could see something land. That's a cool spot and you sometimes see royalty etc.
I don't pay for big jet TV but I do pay for flight radar. I track friends taking off and film them from afar for the hell of it if I can see it
