Park'O said: Correct me if I'm wrong but, they never even shown the 458 doing a lap!!! Viewers were just lead to believe. Plus how ridiculous, if it is to be true and they did lap that 458 on 22's then how unfair and biased! It's obvious they wanted the ZR1 to triumph! Political! Like everything is today! What, a bit like when UK compared a Supercharged Exige S to a Mustang on the TG short track? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVNroy0p5tU

I just wish everything wasnt "awesome", they had proper first names- not two surnames, and a bit of self depracation wouldnt go amiss

I do quite like it, although they do stick to the 3 car challenge a bit too much.

Thought both episodes were good fun. The old texan on the air boat was a complete loon.

The new credits for this series "Tanner Foust - The Racer" Yeah ok, he is. "Rutledge Wood - The Expert" Umm, expert on... what exactly??? "The Other One* - The Wrecker" Yes his stuff does usually get trashed. - No I know it doesn't say that but I can't remember his name and can't be arsed to look it up.
I like the way they film some bits outside the hangar on the track (if Clarkson and co did that it would probably be raining though) and there's a better chemistry between them now.

Just watched the one from Friday with the Tough Duallies trucks.
Very entertaining - how TG in the UK used to be. Good stuff, good banter, and a SIARPC who was not on there promoting a new film / book / dvd/ tv series.
I miss UK TG being like that.

He's the car-bore that knows all the facts n figures, he's also a bit of a mechanic a lot of his blog stuff is about cars he's fiddled with or restored. TGUS is the only car programme I enjoy now, nothing comes close to it really, which is daft as it shouldn't be that hard to make something that would interest car peeps.

And Ditto on the entertainment factor for the following Prog. Tough 4x4's across the desert. Good fun, no doubt a little staged, but far far far less obvious and apparent.....

I like Rutledge, he has a dry sense of humour and a 'kid in sweetshop' enthusiasm and appreciation of what he's doing that's been lost on the UK version. It's like he knows he's lucky and I think the average viewer likes to see the average guy on these types of shows and I think he's the easiest to relate to of any the presenters of any TG I've seen.

I agree and I like him, he is like a grown up kid, I just wasn't sure about his title being The Expert

It Is a slightly random title that's for sure. If you were pigeonhole the UK presenters, what titles would jezza Hammond and may get

I'm surprised it's getting so much love on here, it's like a sketch show version of our Top Gear....although I have watched pretty much all 4 episodes so far!
They all just seem a little awkward in their presenting skills and the challenges seem even more set-up than those on the UK show.

I will watch pretty much anything car related on tv. To be honest I turned it off midway through the last episode

have to say I really like Top Gear USA it is far more cars and cocking about rather than cocking about.
which is fab as far as I am concerned
