Derren Brown ?

how does he do it then ?

i've read a lot about NLP and i know a ton about magic and illusions and how they are done
but dont know anything about derren brown

the guy on teh phone who named the banknote serial digits ?
the oracle trick ?

im watching it too how the hell does he do half of this?!?!

Would imagine the phone thing, was the Digits of the phone he called from?

He makes out stuff is to do with the mind but most of it has a decent trick behidn it

that said he is a brilliant live entertainer and his live show was great. its fun trying to work out how its all done.

Yep, all the NLP stuff is nonsense. His tricks usually have old fashioned magic tricks behind them.

He is very good at what he does though, he can string out a basic trick into a long routine using great showmanship.

I've been watching it and trickery or no trickery, it's amazing. Not sure how he was guessing half the stuff he did from the audience when he was blindfolded either!

I'm guessing the people who had bought tickets got random phone calls a week or so before the show. Sort of, answer our questionnaire and have the chance to win a holiday etc..

No way, the people were choosen too randomly

the psychic girl at the end, her description and clothes were pre written on that sheet of paper and he singled her out but made her look like he had chosen her at random by writing 23 on that card AFTER she had picked the number

simple old trick.... writes it with his fingernail, the envelope has a sheet of carbon on it. Behind his back he only pretends to write a number beforehand and also even gives the line about his bad handwriting so you are not surprised when you see the wonky numbers.

some of them are old fashion magic

but the NLP stuff is not nonsense... make no mistake, its a very powerful tool
just with a small knowledge you can very easily work out peoples thought patterns and how theyare thinking and arriving at teh things they are saying
