The general jist of what being proposed to stem the political losses of the EU left block is to debate first and offer an alternative rather than label and de-platform.I don't think Pedro Sánchez is a problem that needs solving, he has a PhD in economics, is a family man and is generally in-offensive but, his premiership is partially built on the old guard from the hard-left and demographics are shifting Spain a little more to the right as time passes. It will be interesting to see what the debating points are for the coming election because, it sets the path to victory for other Conservative movements in other countries, U.K included.
It's no co-incidence that the lady that looks like to gain the most out of this new election appeared in the Telegraph.
Sure, but you linked to Spectator piece (generally never a good start) titled "The European left’s fascism fantasy" which talks about Meloni and Le Pen.
Meloni part of a party which literally traces back to Mussolini (she is on record as having been quite the fan of old Benito) and a cross party Parliamentary report has been released in Le Pen which found she's been parroting Kremlin propaganda.
What else should we call that?

It's nothing to do with "the left".It's literally been what as determined by a cross-party Parliamentary committee inquiry into Le Pen and in Meloni's case by simply looking at her and her background and that of her party.

Argentina is a basket case no matter what... And I mean a basket case for South America.
From what I read, this is more a move out of desperation rather than Milei being any good. Argentinos were sick of the incumbents.
However I don't think anything will be fixed on Argentina. Far right blow hards didn't fix any issues in Brasil, the Philippines, the US or here. As you said, things can always get worse.

there is a whole thread on the guy but I would say that what he stands for and what he can get passed as law will be two different things. This and the the markets will dictate what he can and can't do fiscally.I expect the libertarian aspects of his personality will translate into conservative law. We will see.
