No comments under the story yet....... can we have a good old fashoined PH rush.
We can try but I would be very surprised if any comments appeared, green blogs tend to be quite tightly controlled.
Just like Gubberment policy on such matters. You're only allowed to have one point of view (green) it seems.

I'm still waiting to find out what happened about acid rain and the hole in the Ozone layer?

As you know yourself we simply do not have that sort of spare time and enjoy the site ourselves as users (rightly or wrongly I'm damned if I'm putting in 6 hours a day on a thread I have no interest in).
Precisely.

The media lost interest and so the problem went away.... as will be the case with global warming / climate change or whatever the catchphrase is nowadays.

In case it's of interest, normal rain is acidic and the ozone hole keeps getting bigger and smaller in spite of all those £fifties.

I'd heard James Dyson had managed to make the hole act like a vortex, sucking the bad rain out, and depositing it here....... Super Earth

Unsurprisingly, mine failed to make it past the "Your comment is awaiting moderation" page.
What a though, seriously, I bet he just spends all day being the pretentious "look at how helpful I am, saving the planet" bks. It pisses me off. I had an acquaintance who I went to school with who went off travelling to India, and when he got back he informed me, straight faced, that every time I drove my Range Rover I destroyed an acre of rainforest. I am not stting you, he genuinely believed this. Where do these people get their facts from?
Has it got really big blades on the wheels, Roman chariot like?

Do you need to drive round in circles or up and down in lines until the care's gone?

"First off, I’d like to apologise to deevlash for not publishing your comment. You’re entitled to your opinion, but I’m not sullying this blog with your language. I will, however, point out that the older generations who fought the Nazi’s so I could spout “my nonsense”, (my grandfathers included), weren’t the older generation then. They were as young as me and you supposedly are.

I’d like to thank the rest of you for all taking the time to comment. It’s interesting to see that you’ve all come from the website http://www.pistonheads.com A site dedicated to fast cars with the slogan “speed matters”

With this in mind, I thought you might be interested in another blog post I wrote a while ago about how you can get help for your obsession. I hope it revs your engine.

This chap is a weapons-grade moron! A brainwashed fool who has to be the one of the biggest hyprocrites (sp?) around.

The comments have carried on but the site seems to have slowed down a little now. If you do look at the blog take note of the way he talks about Pistonheads.

me too:

Yes well when I was young I was a gullible tt like you. However now that I am a bit older and have got some really crucial things to think about like what state the planet will be in when my children are my age, even if I am dead, it seems that I will be acting more responsibly on their behalf – they are after all even younger than you, by not allowing them to inherit a world ruled by misanthropic money grabbing fascists who care nothing whatosever about the climate but are perfectly happy to use the tried and trusted ways of getting the wide-eyed on board – panic, causes, revolution overthrowing the status quo, yawn, yawn yawn – while they condemn us to crawl on our bellies under a carbon culpability servitude that benefits only them. You think the creation of a new market in a phantasamagorical product – carbon or the expiation of the guilt of producing it is going to save the third world? Will it ste. It’ll create some billionaires and reverse the potential to really imrove the lot of the poor that has been building for 150 years whilst crippling our developing industrail genius and probably pitching the western economies from recession into full-blown depression. This is why we don’t use whale oil any more. We moved on, we invented miracles like the internal combustion engine, we invented the internet. Thank God.
