What kind of sub-Mickey Pierce wannabee spiv do you need to be? Allowing a complete stranger dig out the foundation of your house, what could possibly go wrong? rofl I wonder if there's a mortgage and whether the lender been informed.

If it’s anything like the local tip here, the new owners will spend half their life queuing to get to their own house every weekend and bank holiday

Another one in my old stomping ground, in the middle of nowhere

Looks very unhomely in the pics, not finished. Puts me right off.

That's a place that brings back some memories. I had a school friend whose parents had a pile remarkably similar to that about half an hour up from Carmarthen. It would be something like a 5 or 6 hour drive during the holidays to get there from London with other halves, their friends, all in our hand me down first cars so once everyone had arrived the mass of cars looked like a gathering of grannies at the church hall.

The three incredibly strong memories from going to that place were the importance of having at least one friend whose dad owned a cash and carry and was allowed to borrow a work van and fill it with food and booze, the debauchery at 18 in a large house full of girls and no adults and the third abiding memory was of white and red official looking road sign triangles through a village on the way there that warned of paedophiles.

I've seen that place before, it was either in Confessions of a Driving Instructor, or Confessions of a Window Cleaner whichever one it was there was wood.
The Cleaner, with Greg Davies? Think I remember that episode too

Yes I can confirm. When I moved out of Surrey I spent much time going back and forth to that skip and had plenty of time admiring that house while in the queue wondering how someone could live there and live like that.

With all those cars parked out there I did wonder what kind of lifestyle that family lived.

The queues can also get quite flooded after a big rainfall.
