What about free toys in cereal packets? When did that all stop?
This. They've got to bring these back assuming they don't contravene some health and safety choking hazard nonsense. 10 year old me loved freebies in cereal, imagine 34 year old me (with vastly greater cereal purchasing power) it'd be a sales sensation...

I would say search for Belouis Some 'Imagination' and Art of Noise 'Close to the Edit' for slap bang 80's.
Oh and this too...

Flake ad '85
Bought Belouis Some "Imagination" on CD recently!

I'll see your Cadbury's Flake advert and raise you the Peugeot 405 ad.

Jesus, I'd forgotten all about those!!!! I made my mum buy me loads of pairs of Pepe's from McQueen's in Salisbury so that I could ramp up my key ring collection.

IIRC, they had to be worn with turn-ups and deck shoes (ideally with tassles)

I was so fookin' kool then biggrin

I recall that advert simply because a woman I worked with was utterly smitten with it and she herself was memorable as, whilst she was perfectly slim, she wore very tight leggings and had a most distractingly pronounced pudenda.

For those hankering for a bit of 80s nostalgia, this is a pretty good film to watch:

Reminds me of seeing Tucker Jenkins ( Todd Carty ) and his mate from Grange Hill Doyle smoking their little FZ50's around the Hounslow West area. I beleive they lived somewhere in Hounslow.

Mike Read, Mike Read, 275 and 285, Mike Read, Mike Read, national Radio 1.

Funny how some things never really leave the memory.
The R1 roadshows. Smiley Miley and what was that thing did in the middle with scraps of songs?

ADD - Jazz, Lulu, Paloma Picasso etc etc

all 80's scents.

main reason for the post was, in Rotherham where I grew up before the mess that was deregulation of the buses you could get on the bus as a kid and go anywhere (usually anywhere other than Rotherham) for 2p!! 2pence!!!!
