What a breath of fresh air, real informed commentary, lots of input from the x-drivers in the commentary box rather than the moron

Well done Oli Bearman........

One that irked me today was, it's been 4 thousand and something days since Fernando Alonso last had pole position. Why not just say Alonso last took a pole position at the 2 thousand and whatever grand Prix of wherever it was. That would be much more informative.

Please David if you are reading this, stop the pointless stats and silence is ok sometimes.

I’ve said this before, but I’m now almost certain the data service guy is trolling him, seeing what’s the most stupid and inane statistic he can get Oaf to read out on air. Just because it’s on the sheet, doesn’t mean you have to say it, there’s deliberatly enough material there for a couple of hours of unscheduled delays and red flags.

Bravo for the stat that Alonso had a podium finish on the day Ollie Bearman was born, that was a good one.

Then there was his amazing insight when he suggested that (can't rmember the drivers name) should brake a bit later to get the overtake done.

Great insight, I don't think anyone has thought of that before!

Just dreadful today he has no clue what’s unfolding during a race he’s an absolute waste of a microphone - a donkey with a blindfold on would give us a more accurate commentary of the race than this oaf.

There was some decent commentary from the others in the Sky team during the race so Shouty's answer was to make up inane comments and interrupt. How long until the first race he is missing to "be with his family"? I bet they can't wait!!!

Just come over to F1TV, it's so much better. They even do an F1 Kids broadcast now which I watched a few minutes of and that looked like great entertainment too (obviously much less serious than the F1TV feed).

I just watch the highlights, I don't think F1 is worth paying for anymore. I'll switch to the channel 4 highlights even though they're on a bit later.

Watched the C4 highlights myself and actually preferred it.

Probably cancel Sky now. I have the historic F1/Sky HD package and any change would mean paying extra for F1 as a extra, but even then, its just not worth it.

Not particularly on topic at the moment, but I just had to share with the CHTG team that I have the most brilliant feeling of catharsis this morning....

I just cancelled my Sky subscription after 22 years!

Like Gary C, I had the old Sky+HD F1 package, yet, for just Sky TV + Kids & F1 it's costing £66/month - NO MORE!

No more rip-off annual increases on already ludicrously priced TV, but most important of all, no more CROFT, LAZENBY, SCHIFT et al.

I will miss Ant and Martin and maybe Ted a wee bit, but that's what the 'International' feed on F1TV is for dipping into occasionally.

I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
