You can go back / forwards go to any onboard you like, or watch an alternative broadcast (pit lane channel).
It’s unlikely as standalone in the uk IMO, as the sky deal is 250m pa, and there’s roughly 800k subscribers /viewers. F1 tv would need to be £300+ to make the same revenue, let alone the increased production costs.

That said though, at least we're able to watch F1 on a designated channel at a regular time - my real motorsport passion is rallying, but I've completely gone away from the WRC simply because it's impossible to know when and where coverage is going to be shown.
This is where i'm at, last year I could only get the £33 deal and it was ok, we were locked down for a good chunk of it and a lot of things that my partner and I would normally do was restricted in one way or another I was also not working so got to pretty much all the sessions., plus the season was pretty condensed so I only paid for it whilst the season was on.This is a much more realistic price and if it was priced at that level for everyone then I bet there would be a lot less Kodi boxes out there and probably more money made overall!

I'm also getting fed up with playing the game of avoiding finding out what happened which is increasingly difficult when almost every platform - from YouTube to Twitter - broadcasts the results these days. You basically have to go offline for the day now.
And the main alternative is to pay 100% of a service I might use 5% of. I've lost interest in football thanks to VAR and no crowds and I'm not interested in any other sport.

This game is almost impossible to win. I swear the BBC are out to get me. There was one race last year, where I got in the car and the first words out the radio were “and Lewis Hamilton got his ... win of the season”. It was like they were waiting for me to turn the radio on. I only had the ignition on for 30 seconds so I could move the car out the way! (yeah yeah, not good for the car I know)..

there is an answer but it takes a lot of will power from a lot of people with a lot of money.
And that is to simply not watch, or find alternatives to paying.
AS I say this is extreme and most will roll over and pay, but there are alternatives that if enough people did it, it might make the powers that be change their mind.
Don't be a sheep is all I can say. Sheep only end up on a plate after all.

F1 have a big dilemma when the UK Sky deal comes up for renewal.
On one hand, they are wanting to move everyone over to their direct-to-consumer F1 TV platform, paying £10 a month to watch everything multi-channel and multi-device.
On the other hand, Sky pay them an absolute fortune for the UK rights at the moment, and have no interest whatsoever in any sport which isn’t exclusive to their platform - including online.
Complicating factors are that F1 licences the Sky commentary for their own media channels, and Sky licences their coverage to many smaller countries.

With weekly passes no longer available, I expect the viewing figures will suffer.
Just hoping that there is a reasonable priced special Now deal for F1 before the season starts, otherwise it's CH4 for me.
Now TV have just changed their name to Now, as in removed the TV bit.

I hadn't realized they had removed the 1 week passes.Does anyone know what "Sports Mobile Month Membership" at £5.99 gives you? It says "Watch 5 Sky Sports channels on your smartphone only" but could I watch it on an Android tablet, or stream it to a TV?
I’m looking at a way of watching f1 again on a bigger screen after sky stopped supporting the Xbox 360. Our broadband is up for renewal and we have Netflix too so I can chuck these in to the mix but I’m still looking at £70/month (£30/month for board band and £10/month for Netflix is what we pay currently) so it’s going to cost me £30/month to watch f1 but I get the bonus of having the sky channels too.
I would happily pay £10-20/month just to watch f1 but it doesn’t seem like that’s an option.

I'd like to say that F1TV will come to the UK when Sky's contract is up but given no one in Germany can sign up to F1TV Pro either it might not happen.

Amazon most likely as f1 uses the AW system for all sorts of things so highly likely, plus it fits in with their speedy delivery claptrap etc, just like DHL use it for.
I loath Amazon with a passion so it would not work for me, but if you put it with Prime, you can see the benefit for most people.
But as said before quite why anyone is being asked to pay to watch a series owned, run by and and taken part in by billionaires in cars covered in advertising is beyond me!! But that's just cynical old me.

You pay money to go to the cinema. Owned by companies worth billions (pre Covid). Playing films made by companies worth billions. The films have actors in worth millions. Almost all have product placement from companies that are worth billions.
Same applies for football.
