Hamilton definitely took the right approach - very sporting.
I'd love to know what his Dad said to him when he got out of the car. He gets a lot of stick for whining in the car but out of it he was supernaturally composed.

Sebs tantrum aftter being denied first or Max's sulk the race before would have been entirely expected after being robbed like that.
yes, agree, his dad must have had just the right words for the situation. They came out of it really well.
Eh?

He didn't drive to 2nd place
He didn't turn up at the post race conference
He's deleted his Instagram (apparently)
He's given the world the silent treatment since

Biggest baby ever to lose a competition, he's still sulking now and talk about him not coming back. He knows he'll lose to George anyway.
I see your fact checking is still at the same low standard.
10 seconds googling would have shown you his Instagram is still there - https://instagram.com/lewishamilton
Apparently, idid write it. There were some toys thrown out the pram; deleted followers or something. I don't know, I don't use Instagram or follow pictures of racing drivers. But I have read about some e-tantrums on some social media.

Here we go, the full meltdown:

Lewis Hamilton unfollows EVERYBODY on Instagram amid retirement speculation after his controversial F1 title defeat https://www.the-sun.com/sport/4333573/f1-lewis-ham...

So from your list, he didn't drive to P2 after the race had finished and he didnt go to the after race party? It's hardly a big deal.

Oh and he's been quiet since the race finished.

When I was 5yo and things didn't go my way, I acted in a similar way. Usually involved taking my ball home.

A polar bear in a freezer couldn't play it any cooler than Hamilton.

When he went to collect his knighthood he was (according to other honours recipients) utterly charming, chatted to their families, appeared in selfies and took their pictures. One mother was chatting to Lewis's mum and was very excited about the fact her daughter was getting an honour. She only vaguely asked Lewis' mum about what her son was there for .... the look on her face was apparently priceless when Lewis came over and hugged his mother, then politely introduced himself to the other mother. The only people he refused to speak to were the press, but the smile tells it all.

Keeping his own counsel re the FIA is the best thing he can do. Keeps them guessing, lets him determine whether he can really psyche himself up one more time.

Anyway, Horner is a passionate team manager who did have a career as a driver and uses the media for promoting the team and himself into front line sports celebrities.

He is the most promotable of the Red Bull hierarchy so what’s wrong with that. Always ready for an interview. You may not agree with what he says but he has an opinion.

He’s very much like the old fashioned team owners. Unfortunately many teams have ghost like figures who come and go.

This whole "Lewis crying" meme makes no sense to me. The guy is always 100% when losing. I doubt 99% of people could have given the interview he did after losing Abu Dhabi
I totally agree with you. After the race, Lewis was incredibly controlled, far more than I could ever have been in those circumstances.
He is an absolute gentleman and sportsman.

No one changed the rules. Have you even read the rules? Would you like a copy? And his team were threatening court on his behalf, and there are plenty of threats that he won't race next year.

Oh, and Masi will remain as Race Director for 2022 too.
You are totally delusional.

FWIW, it's worth remembering here that being quiet just means he's not talking publicly. Who's to say he hasn't had an entirely normal Christmas away from the media (social or otherwise)

Quite. His detractors usually dislike his social media activity. Now they dislike his lack of it.

I deleted my Instagram this month. I'm not sulking.

At the recent Autosport Awards Charity Auction, Mercedes put up a tour of their AMG Petronas F1 facility as one of the prizes.

The winning bid was made by a certain Christian Horner who said he wanted to take about twenty people with him. laugh

He’s gone up in my estimation about 100000%. That’s brilliant.
