Was bought by a chap called Kevin, then sold to Ian on A8parts who sorted these bits out: Installed full S8 Black Half Leather / Half alcantara interior Fixed Xenon levelling problem Fitted genuine S8 Ally mirrors Fitted genuine S8 grills Fixed broken HVAC flap motors Fixed Screenwash level sensor Fixed broken PDC sensor Fixed brake pad warning light Fixed broken Sat Nav screen Retrieved Sat Nav code from Audi Replaced cup holder Replaced 'Menu button' Replaced missing Tool kit items and then sold it on to the last owner Although that list above all sounds like minor niggles most of them would've cost a fortune at a garage to repair/buy new parts for.

Thanks, reminds me why I decided on an E39 instead of A8. That said I'd rate the A8 a fantastic car, just kicking myself I didn;t buy the silver Sport model posted on here nearly 12 months ago, Bradford was just too far to go on the off chance I decided, but I was wrong, car was a minter and run by gent with means with no expense spared. A8's do seem to attract a "better" class of owner. I've decided next time I will only buy privately directly from someone who's owned the car over 12 months, just improves confidence levels.

I don't think it has ever been a s tter, it's clearly been looked after for all of its life but Ian of A8 Parts did fix a lot of little niggles when he had it, as well as upgrading a lot of trim. So whilst it's clearly been looked after over the course of it's life, it has had the benefit of being owned by an expert recently who has refreshed it and swept away the cobwebs that a 13 year old barge will have. It feels almost new now and I will be working hard to keep it as fresh and cared for as it is now. The thing that really struck me when I was in it was how much more of an event it seemed than the equivalent E38's. It is stuffed with little engineering touches. Closer to an old Mercedes in that respect, where the technology at hand is more obvious and very much 'old Audi' in a very good way.

I'd say so.
That's been on the market for ages and I think a 1 (or a 2!) has fallen off the front of that mileage given the condition.
That said, £1400, weigh it in for a few hundred, the LPG kit would probably fetch another couple of hundred assuming it works, wheels again are worth a few quid, as long as you look upon it as disposable and it at least runs for a few months it's hard to go wrong.

I just live down near Wylam, so it's not far for me to go. And what better way to get there than in this! I'm looking forward to going to work on Monday and spending most of the day in the car park looking at it. I'll try and get some interior pictures sorted out. It's a thing of beauty, especially when it's dark and all the controls are glowing back at you.
