melvster said: 991 just looks to complicated, the interior is a mess with that raised console and the dash is no improvment on the 997 IMO. Worst thing for me is the door mirrors, they look horrid on the door instead of where the a-pillar meets the door oh and the fact a good spec Carrera S is 85 - 90k. Too expensive. Would have agreed with you until I sat in one. Gear lever perfectly placed now. Cabin very un-911 like I'll grant you, but it is a lovely place to be nonetheless. Favourite feature? The 'lip' atop the dash - carried over from the 997 - which keeps sunglasses in place during all but the most enthusiastic cornering.

Everyone dislikes the 991.
Until you drive one, at which point you start to wonder which family members you could sell to North Korea.

Brilliant advert, mentioned everything i would ask if i was in a position to buy. Looks a really honest example and wears its 25 years with pride.

Would you ask the surnames of the previous owners too? I'm not keen on that either. I just thought it slipped in the Doctor owned for 22 years thing that some may like without sounding as t ttish. In retrospect I think it failed. Cheers melvster! It could do with a lot of tidying, I haven't even bothered to proof read it yet.

LHD said: I wouldn't. They look a bit crap from behind, but apart from that they're great. Would prob take one over anything short of a GT3. Mainly because they feel that little bit smaller and more intimate than the modern 911, which has ballooned into a fairly large GT car.

I love the bulbous rump of all previous gen 911 verts. Offers a touch of character.

Rain, you say. In Belgium, you say. Amazing.
Never did understand the relevance of a Dr owning a car.

I can imagine that a 991 C2S Cab with Powerkit is pretty much all the sportscar you could ever need. 2+2, folding roof that's as good as a metal one when up, 430 bhp, stunning looks even with the roof down (a first for 911s), epic noise, cracking interior. Okay okay, it'll be about £110k with the 'essential' options, but still massive want.
