i would love to see what he would do with a 4wd drive rally car like ken blocks,i personally think fwd, steel wheels on the back, bald tyres on the back are all irrelevant he still has to have the balls to go out and do this not to mention skill
Exactly, i wouldnt listen to those stating that its not impressive. To the majority of us on PH this is well beyond our skill level or what we are willing to risk/do.
Impressive and fun video, but if truth be told it's easier to drift a FWD car like this than RWD. All the driver is doing is putting some cack tyres on the back with 40-50psi, then pitching the car sideways with the handbrake and applying power to pull the car out of he slide. With a RWD car you have to control both the front of the car and the rear of the car whilst metering the correct amount of power out to extend the slide for much longer.

No, it's very skilled car control and a talented drivers. But less impressive than drifting a RWD car properly, with the higher difficulty and greater speeds attainable. Anyway, here is some excellent 1M drifting to enjoy:

If it had been a 'better' or more drifty car I would have found it less funny

Totally irresponsible of pistonheads to parade the sort of stupid antics on a public road that often end in tears or worse.

Reckon I'd struggle to drift a RWD car like that, so a fwd Toyota avensis? Brilliant!

Humm, im no saint but would you be happy if that sort of driving was in the streets with your kids? Not something I think we should be promoting.

Think showing vids on pistonheads is a bit irresponsible. What if it was a vid celebrating a drunk driver

Do you work for the HSE by any chance? You need to teach your kids the green cross code!

Its not drifting though is it, he's just handbraking an avensis.....on rear spacesavers at about 30mph. I don't see what you guys are seeing as so impressive?? it even seems the slo mo's are to hide how slow he's actually going!!

If this was in england with a guy doing it you would all be reacting in a completely different manor. Go on youtube and search streeto and you will find a hell of a lot better videos regarding car control.
