This happened at the Aston dealership in Wilmslow. I used to live down the road with the writing on it and can’t work out why the VW would have been reversing anywhere near the junction, let alone at sufficient speed to mount the car.

Wing, bonnet, headlight, paint. Sub-£10k. Would be funny if the VW driver's insurance company insisted the AM was fixed at one of their "approved" (i.e. cheapest) repairers.
Similar thing happened to a friends Q8. And that was 25 grand! Can't imagine the Aston being any less than 50k!

Why would that happen? The whole point of a third party insurer stepping in is to provide a hire car to ensure mobility and repairing the damaged car quickly which many people driving vanilla cars will like. If you were the VW driver, I could simply claim under my own policy and let the insurers fight it out.

I’m guessing Aston Wilmslow won’t need a hire car and will get a discounted rate from whomever they contract their body repairs to but I wonder whether the VW driver’ Insurer will also get hit for a “ loss of earnings / profit and indeed dimmutation of value claim especially with the reg number being available.
Either way it won’t be £10k.

I'm going with automatic, in the wrong gear by mistake and a confused older driver pressing the wrong pedal and then pressing it harder still because it's still moving... Rusty Old-Banger said:

Ha ha your having a laugh, my friends Audi A3 cost £9k for headlight wing bumper damage so with storage, hire car etc this will be mid £20s plus the abulance chasers asking if any slaesman has a stiff neck will add some moniesRusty Old-Banger said:

I suspect the complete bonnet would be £25k on its own, as a guess around £40k when finishedComing soon to Mat Armstrong's channel
I can't find list prices for a DBS Superlegerra, but I can find prices for a Gen 2 Vanquish, which is the closest model I can come up with. DBS costs may be higher, but probably not massively higher.
An original bonnet, wing and headlight costs £23000 including VAT. Add a few grand to that for labour and paint, probably somewhere between £25000 and £30000.
