Did the Lotus Esprit ever get posted?
The Sport 300 was rare enough with 64 numbered units hand made.
The base line for handling cars to come.

I don't have many numbers on modern cars how many made...mostly classics and a few modern I know...but if there only 64...thats rare so here it is...

Lotus 2.2 litre chargecooled engine producing 300 bhp at 6500 rpm. Reworked and ported cylinder head. Hybrid Garrett turbocharger. Additional chargecooler capacity. Recalibrated engine management system.

Nice car, at the time the fastest Lotus to date...thanks.

In the eighties the Alpina cars where more in the open so to speak, with mostly Alpina stickers on them, I remember as a young boy buying those aftermarket stickers to put on my BMW Alpina was it then...
Its still very famous and the cars are very good, but it lost soul somewhere...? it lost character its not anymore wow a Alpina...
So for me the older cars from Alpina I like...the later newer models do not that what the old cars did to me.
I had a Alpina M3 E30 B6S replica also on paper with TUV and documents only it was build after it left the factory so no shieldnumber...though all the rest was on! also the 3.5L 6 cill and dials and and and...only the Alpina buildnumber missing...
Also had a origenal Alpina C1 E21 with a 2.7L ? don't remember exactly long time agaohehe

alfa romeo 6c 2500 competizione / coupé usine (1948) not much info but rare

Talbot 2500 Lago Sport only 54 cars from 1955<>1956

more info and special pics you can find under this link;

www.wunscholdtimer.de/index.php?id=singleview_de&type=1&uid=296&L=0

Thurner RS only 121 made from this 1969<>1974 German carbuilder, it had wingdoors too
He made it with low air resistance by taking the shapes and the front window from a Porsche 904 GTS. . It should be light (it only weighs 570kg.) so he used a glass fiber bodywork like a Porsche 904 GTS He made it cheap (17.000 DM) by using new chassis from the NSU 1200TT , which made the spare parts cheap as well.

Toyota 2000 GT only 339 made from 1966<>1970

they also raced with such cars and did rallys too I believe, I remember having such toycar with a elektro engine

I f my memory serves me correctly I saw it in The observers book of cars dated early 60's, I do remember the top speed was 175mph so it can't have been a 4.7.

175mph...hm...than indeed its a lot faster then any of the sixthies TVR cars curious what it was then, could be a 7.0L smalblock they where there at he time, hm...hope someone knowes more!
From here i can not see what car that red one is...and I'm not so in the open cars too... looks expensive though could be a Jaguar D-type though from 1954<>1957

And kermit, you better change that picture links a bit, you have a space between [pic]and the url on both sides and then it will not work...so remove the space and then we can see it too thanks.

Doh! Tried that, and also tried what I thought was going to be standard public links to the pics. Didn't work there. I'll try one further way of getting them up there, but I'll have to wait for an upload to finish.

I see you have the link correct but its on a website where you have to register first so its not open...maybe pick a picture from internet elsewhere? also the same on your profile picture both say this;

Just had a look in The Observers Book of Cars (1965) and the only TVR mentioned was the 4.7 Griffith. No mention of a 7 litre in any TVR. Incidentally, this was my father's book and was what got me reading about cars at an early age. I used to study it religiously when I visted my grandparents (it was in my dad's old room). read I've only recently rediscovered it - it makes a great read now that I know more about older cars.

I could not find it eighter on the net, or remember out my books the only engine's are the 4727cc from 1967 and the 4949cc Tuscan from 1970...I know there is a 7+ liter but thats the speed 12 cerbera...but thats "new" and not old, but I hope I'm wrong love to see such scary little fast monster grrrr

Trident(TVR also) made totally around 130 cars from 1965<>1975? I once looked at the nicest example of them, sadly I did not had the money free on that time, it is rare and fast(at least the one I was looking at)
the Trident Club says this about Trident cars; The first Clipper where based on the chassis from a TVR Grantura mk3
The whereabouts/fate of around 45 of approximately 130 cars produced is known and the Club believes that only 19-25 are currently in running order throughout the world...and I missed that rare chance...a LHD car on Dutch ground with foreign plates?...and a special dark color.

here more info; www.pistonheads.com/tvr/trident/

TVR specialy the older cars are rare almost all of them, here a TVR Griffith 200 V8 1965

Griffiths..

engine bay 200

For the nice 200 below they changed some stuf
Technische Daten:
Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 4,2 Sek.
Gewicht 657 Kg
Motor V8 Small Block
PS 425
Drehmoment 497 Nm
Karosserie Gitterrohrrahmen
GfK – Karosserie
Einzelradaufhängung
Noch vorhandene Fahrzeuge 2 Stück in Europa als Strassenversion
17 Stück Weltweit aber in Rennausführung

TVR Griffith 400 it had an even faster V8 then the 200(standard)

ford cobra engine's in TVR

TVR Tuscan V8 only a few also... 1967 Tuscan V8 28
1967-68 Tuscan V8 LWB 24
1968-70 Tuscan V8 WB 21
1969-71 Tuscan V6 101

After the TVR-Griffith connection failed, Jack developed a new car: the Griffith 600. The chief engineer was Robert Cumberford. The all steel body would be produced in Italy. Jack would fit Chrysler 273 cu. in. v8s in New York. Sixteen were built before delays in producing the bodies stopped the project.

lovely TVR

Is that that two engined car? one in the front and one in the back? they said at the time they only build 2 one for Mika Hakinen and one for the other team member...nice found now look at this VW T4 they only build a few with 520hp biturbo 3.6 porsche engine very fast!

Only 949 XB GT Ford Falcon coupes were built.

Very limited in production, the 1970 1/2 Falcon?

a Vector W8. It appears that only 21 were made.

1987 ZIMMER QUICKSILVER - VERY RARE California Car
1 of 180...

Orca 113, limited to only 99 cars its Swiss...and fast
Technical data:
V8-engine, 650hp
weight: 850kg
length: 402cm
width: 202cm
height: 96cm(!)
top speed: over 360km/h

The other model is the SC7 is even more powerful, having an engine with 800hp!
This car will be built only 7 times, these cars are already sold

I like the fast Orca's, they look a bit of modern Ultima's (or ex Lemans racers)
