thought my car deserves a mention here- by no means desirable as all the other exotic cars in this thread (no point posting a picture, as its no looker!)

Rover 420 turbo- aparently only 500 were made with the turbo engine. probably only half of those are still on the road

Post a picture, also no lookers are welcome, and there are always people who like those, that's why they get sold at the time they came out.

This thread is also very handy when your looking for something special in futere car shopping, that's why I started itbiggrin sadly most are a bit expensivehehe

That doesnt look right. 308/328 Conversion? Looks too short and doesnt have the rear slats.

Anyone else agree?

Edited by TIGA84 on Friday 8th June 15:46
Indeed the picture above does not look like a real 288GTO maybe its a kit-kar? or its a wrong angle? here a real one:

Remember this? i can't but it looks spectacular this wide body Citroen Visa Lotus , yes it uses the Lotus esprit 2174cc L engine and a garrett Turbo to get 210 hp for this 1020kg rally car, its a one off marriage between Lotus and Citroen, they also made the Talbot Lotus, French and the English kissbiggrin

Concept cars don't count do they?
If they are roadworthy and drive-able its oke (just add concept to it), best are ofcorse the cars that are road-legal, this long list wakes you up of lovely cars you can buy or are maybe hidden in some garagebiggrin I love special cars, some are forgotten so its nice to see them again.

ze maken een paar speciale jubileum (20 jaar Wiesmann) modellen van de MF3 roadster(30 stuks), de MF4 GT V8(20 stuks) en de MF5 GT V10 (20 stuks)

Ofcorse the Wiesmann Brothers also gets a place in this long list of 1<>1000 cars, they are 20 years in the bussines but not even made that many cars (roadsters all engines 750 till date and GT V8 V10 about 200 till fate), and even more special gona be the special versions of their birthday 20 years....

they make 30 MF3 roadsters with the CSL engine

they make 20 MF4 with the V8

they make 20 MF5 with the V10

some pictures fress here the roadster with CSL engine>>

here the back of that V10 20th>>

2005 Hartge H1 5.0
only a few were build, at least 3 original Hartge and maybe a few still called BMW, lovely litle monster with their 5.0 V8 S62

The HARTGE H1 5.0 was revealed and reveled at the Essen (Germany) Motorshow in December 2004.

Once again the HARTGE engineers created something special by transplanting a BMW 5.0L V8 into the newly released 1 series. And this isn"t your normal BMW V8, as it features modified cylinder heads, revised camshaft, and its own engine software mapping; resulting in an output of 450 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

To translate this phenomenal power to the ground in the 1 Series, a special drive shaft and 6 speed manual transaxle are installed, along with a new rear sub-frame. With a curb weight of just 1,445 kg (~3200 lbs.), rendering a weight to power ratio of 3.23 kg/hp (7 lb/hp), the H1 catapults from 0-100 km/hr (0-62.5 mph) in just 4,6 sec. The amazing thrust continues to an ultimate top speed of 300 km/h (188 mph).

this is what they say about the original Ginetta G12

Despite what the books say, less than 30 of these cars were produced in 1966-68. Thereafter, one or two body/chassis units were produced for enthusiastic customers.

so not that many of this lovely car, later on DARE also sell those with more modern stuf.

http://www.ginettaheritage.co.uk/ginettag12/g12his...

and here a Ginetta G4 also not many are made
