sorry to sound stupid, but does anyone know if you need a whole family to get in with the family ticket, or can you just use the adult part of it?

I have two tickets for a week day but can't go during the week. Are w/e tickets available on a freebie, does anyone know?

Don't think so.

ETA. Have just noticed that the info on the upgrading of weekday tickets for the weekend has been removed from the website.
Only paid-for weekday tickets can be upgraded for the weekend.

Don't think so, but you can pay the difference using the week day tickets.
Thank-you... seems fair enough. I'm planning to go on Sunday.

Thanks for the tickets, used them yesterday.

Pity the show was so rubbish...

Done in 3hrs, and 1/2hr of that was spent eating a rather nice panini.

Thought the heritage cars driving around was a nice touch, though.

Embarrassingly, I had far too much to drink the night before I was meant to go to the show, rocked up in London far too late, then couldn't find Excel.

I was a little disappointed, but it doesn't sound like I've missed that much especially as I spent the rest of the day drinking down by the Kings Road watching supercar after supercar rolling by.

If you're paying for tickets, i'd be very disappointed.

Getting free tickets softened the blow slightly...

Free tickets, yes. But... I've got weekday access. Word around the camp fire is that I can pay the difference and use them on a w/e... I can only hope I won't be paying the full monty.

Bad news I'm afraid.
Have just spoken to some bod at the ticket office, and would appear that only paid-for-week-day-tickets can be upgraded for the weekend.

Now this is strange because I checked on their web-site last week and it clearly stated that weekday tickets could be upgraded at the weekend. Having just checked the web-site again, the info seems to have disappeared

Sorry, Glassman, I'd better alter the info on my above post so others do not get a shock when turning up at the WE expecting to just pay the difference.

Thanks to GolfGT_Girl for the heads up. Much appreciated!
Generally enjoyed the show, but a bit let down that a few manufacturers didn't bother to exhibit.

Made me laugh that I spent £5 to see the honda advert (sorry....show) well put on but an award to the honda marketerrs who get to charge people to see their product being promoted!!

cheers agin

Thanks GT, had a very pleasant evening there.

For me the most interesting exhibit was the cut-away GTR. Very interesting and amazing considering how much it costs!

Yeah, It was very very heavy on the marketing, cringeworthy if I'm honest. However, it was worth seeing for me with Asimo.. amazing seeing this in real life, as opposed to on the internet. Also, although un-announced.. Russ Swift in the bright orange touring car!! Absolutely amazing how other people came before and after him, yet he out showed them by a country mile!
