Assume this must be the 63kWh version?
I had an 87kWh on order before I snapped up an e:Ny1 for less than half the price. The Ariya is a far better car but >2x£ better? Nah
Yeah, I'd have done the same. The eny1 is the deal of the year IMHO, EV or no EV. Well done to whoever managed to get that deal.I had an 87kWh on order before I snapped up an e:Ny1 for less than half the price. The Ariya is a far better car but >2x£ better? Nah

Subaru Solterra Hatchback 150kW Touring 71.4kWh 5dr Auto AWD
p11d £55,440
9+36 £287.48 + £270 fee
5000 miles
Total = £12919.11, £358.86 per month
Compared to the Ariya, it has smaller battery (and heated front screen) and costs a tad more BUT
(a) bigger alloy wheels
(b) heated rear seats
(c) Digital rear view camera
(d) 4WD
(e) 8 speakers
Autocar gives it a 4/5 https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/subaru/solterra but most others give it fewer stars.
Still, at this price, I think it is a better buy than the Ariya.

£408 per month with 10k miles over 36 months and only 200 mile real world range though. Toyota's reluctance to go EV is rather evident in this and its other efforts. Like the Ariya and ENY1, another so-so EV that they are having to discount to shift.Subaru Solterra Hatchback 150kW Touring 71.4kWh 5dr Auto AWD

it is a prereg. Apparently, MB have stopped manufacturing the EQC, so it is essentially an end-of-line.Not sure how many EQC are around as the Mercedes we went to (stockport) only had one round the back which we were lucky to get a go in.
Wish my side business was making enough to put the XM through it!

At the moment on finance, the Aryia 87kWh, hence why I have ordered one. For cash, then the Model Y RWD, where the Tesla supercharger network makes the range almost irrelevant but it will also do well over 4 miles/kWh. The larger battery Kona and Niro will both do 220+ miles in Winter and 280+ miles in Summer. We average 4.3 miles/kWh in our Kona. None of the Toyata offerings will match any of those figures (neither will the Aryia) hence one of the reasons they are not selling. Plus IMHO opinion they look odd.Just to be clrear, I have no great interest in the Aryia as it also not a great EV and would have chosen a Tesla MY RWD or a Kona instead, but both were much more expensive on finance. It's my wife's car and she doesn't care what she drives as long as it can fit 5 people, the dog and do the 210 round trip to Exeter in Winter and back home on a full charge. Our 2020 Kona is a bit lacking in size now our kids are grown up, hence the larger car.

We are in a similar position having leased a bigger battery Kona for almost 3 years need to decide the next move, either buy the Kona from the finance company or get something newer now that EV leasing prices are easing back. The wife is going to see the Aryia this lunchtime, currently getting 3.8 out of the Kona so a full charge will normally see you for 250 miles this time of year, did you test drive the Aryia?, was there much of a size difference v the Kona, reviews I have seen overall are pretty positive.Just to be clrear, I have no great interest in the Aryia as it also not a great EV and would have chosen a Tesla MY RWD or a Kona instead, but both were much more expensive on finance. Is the Model Y definitely much more expensive? They have an offer on their website for the RWD verion on a 3 year deal at £399/month with 9 month deposit inc VAT for 10k miles per year. The cheapest comparable Ariya I can find for the bigger battery is £377/month, so not a huge amount in it? The 87KwH Ariya was on £340 on 2 years (5K). That is what myself and I assume Fastlane (with a different mileage) went for. Prices have gone up sadly. As for the Model Y, average monthly payment is £488 albeit for 10K and over 3 years.EddieSteadyGo said:
