Noted in the description that these cars are potentially nearly 2 years old ("...Vehicle Model year 2022 Q3 | Release date 08-07-2022...")

Are they likely to just be 'un-leased' for that period of time, or possibly low-mileage pre-used?

Seems odd, that's all.
SE Connect trim was dropped at the start of 2023.

The MG3+ Hybrid has 197BHP , the Corsa only has 90 biggrin

Leasing deals on MG cars generally are very poor (e.g. https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/vip-gatewa...

At that price, just go for a Corsa, a better car altogether IMHO https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/leasecar/v...

My apologies on that one, I was referring to the existing MG3, not the souped up hybrid version.
But then again, chances you will get one which costs anywhere near to the Corsa are very, very slim.

Just had an XM deal through from leasing Options this afternoon.

48 months
5k miles
£731 a month with £4.4k down
This had the 22" optional alloys @ £1650

Local BMW garages can get great deals on them too delivery due June - Sept however the dealerships can only get 24 months lease. Waiting on further deals coming through tomorrow

There is also a deal on the X7's for anyone interested ask and quote this as these are where the discounts are.

You are far braver than me, I wouldn't entertain 4 years PCH on a car like that. Are you going to take an extended warranty from 36 to 48 months?

I thought 2 years with the lowest annual mileage was the sweet spot. Worked out less than 20% of car RRP, even for 8k-10k miles pa it was hovering around 20%. A very good deal in today's climate.

Saw one on the school run this morning, ghastly things. If it's a cheap lease I can see the logic, but that's not cheap.
Saw one at a dealership, thought they looked nice. Guess it's subjective.

I think the XM can look good without all the barmy 2 tone colour schemes or jewelled wheels, just in a simple black:

Anyway disappointing that the deal is only for the 50e. Really strange choice for BMW to offer “their signature and flagship” M car - note M car - and then dumb it down with a “wheezy” 3 litre straight six. Come on lads it needs even more power from the 4.4 V8 - the most potent XM Label has “only” 737bhp, I think around 1,000 BHP would be more like it. The lease car only has a wheezy 476bhp

I would only go for 24 months as per the dealership offer if the offer is still at all valid although main dealers still work out at about £24k for 2 years lease. I guess it's not for everyone. I am also trying to factor in the fuel saving on my current car that only does 20mpg so if this does more it can offset current fuel costs...

Re the Tesla Model Y RWD, I mentioned there is a personal lease offer on their website for 9+35 for a personal lease with 10,000 miles per year at £399/month inc VAT.

I contacted Tesla because the business lease costs were around £28/month higher (adjusting for the VAT), which doesn't make sense for the business lease to be more expensive than the personal lease option. They have clarified that isn't correct and they should be (almost) the same.

So I've just ordered a RWD for one of my team as a business lease directly from Tesla.

Also, whilst I know we use Leaseloco here quite a lot to benchmark prices, but if you compared the cheapest Tesla Model Y deal on the Leaseloco website, for the same terms, they are showing the cost as circa £200/month more expensive than direct from Tesla.

Its the way with everything from leasing to house insurance isn't it - the majority have gotten used to thinking the best deals are on aggregator websites and it's often far from the truth.

Think I’m going to bite the bullet on one. Just seen the new red colour they’ve brought out, Midnight Cherry Red. However that’s nearly £40 a month more for a colour which is only £1300 more. Might just have to stick to black.

True. I've sent a separate email to Tesla suggesting they should make contact directly with Leaseloco, Leasing.com etc and ask to upload their prices directly, rather than going via the usual brokerage firms. Whilst they would need to pay a referral/platform fee, I think they would pick up a lot of extra business.

I'm currently hovering over that Model Y deal, as I fancy dipping my toe in EV as it suits 99% of my needs. Trouble is, I need to sell my current car though. The Tesla paint prices are taking the piss though.

The Model Y deal has been roughly the same for most of this year, so I think you are quite likely to get the same price between now and the end of June (Q2).

My current XC90 is due to go back in June so I too may go for the Model Y, however I’m toying with the idea of purchasing it outright either through a ltd or personal (LLP member so can off set against my self assessed profit) and taking advantage of it being a 100% allowable expense in the first year.

Admittedly, need to do some research on this and have a quick chat with my accountant. Always leased and had some fantastic deals via this thread but just can’t seem to find anything decent that I would consider a deal. Not bought a car since 2006 when I bought my first ever VW Polo!

I think it depends mainly on how long you plan to keep the car and whether you want the certainty of knowing what the costs will be (via the lease). If you planned to keep the car for say 6-7 years, I think it would make sense to buy the car via the company, get the tax saving, then potentially buy the car personally (at market rate) after maybe 3 years or so depending on what happens with BIK. If you only plan to keep the car for say 3 years, I think leasing probably makes more sense (because the implied residual value in the lease is probably overly optimistic).

Does anyone have much experience with Alfa Romeo's? Considering an Alfa Romeo Tonale, but unsure after reading reviews about Alfa's in general.

We looked at that, but the leasing option worked out better in our case. Would you want to keep it for that long as an EV outside of warranty? I wouldn’t but they do appear reliable to be fair. Battery degradation might be a factor if you are planning to put big miles on it over that time too.

TBH that was my conclusion too.

That's a tempting deal on the ORA. I fear the insurance on these, however.
