The BRC is shaping up to be a fabulous series this year......bring it on. A bit more exposure on ITV4/ITVX can hopefully bring in more interest/sponsors......

Certainly looking brighter for the BRC this year . Could be a real coup for MEM , if the cars work well Melvyn will have people lining up to get their hands on one .

Well just back from the North West Stages, unfortunately we lost the first loop ( 5 stages) due to incidents on the first 3 stages. Some of the competitor's were certainly going for it.

Never heard of a rally restarting at lunch with 0 on the clock , gotta be a first . What was causing the delays outside of the norm ?

That all looked like total carnage from the pics I've seen. Real shame, but must have been a nightmare for the organisers.

Was watching on Special Stage's You Tube channel, and there was confusion to as what was going on; rumours of a farmer blocking the road with his tractor; which was denied.....the whole morning schedule cancelled, then amended......Communication was a bit hit or miss.....

Fortunately, they managed to sort it all out, and the afternoon ran a lot more smoothly......Well done to all.

Was a frustrating event to put it politely.

£895 entry fee for 28.78 competitive miles.

I can understand that, but not sure that anything could have been done about it.

The cost to the organisers will be the same regardless of the mileage you did. So I would be surprised if there will be any partial refund of entry money.

Good film.
My thoughts , should the subaru that came next car at 1 49 after car no 66 , have stopped as there was no warning triangle etc that I could see, and rules state that he should have stopped if no visible signs that crew are out and ok ?

There is another video of this incident and the navigator gives the thumbs to the car as they go past.

Yes, I fully understand this. The event schedule did look tight - but the option to go from minute starts to 30 second starts gave a little wriggle room, sadly not enough to keep any of the first 5 stages for us. Sadly a notional time scuppered our championship points haul.

No comments on the coverage, yet?

I thought it was okay if a bit disjointed, and some poor camera positions/ angles......Holly McRae doing interviews at the event, but I guess commentator Dave Addison wasn't - and it was just a voice over in a studio.

I'm sure things will pick up as the season goes along.
