Guess we might be waiting a bit longer for Peter’s book while he rewrites it in the light of this new information![/quot

Hardly think a reprint of an article from dec 1978 Road and Track constitutes new information. Well publicised in Brooklands Books TVR 1960 to 1980 and numerous reprints/revisions. I, m sure I must have a spare copy of the original in my archive somewhere. About as credible as WMD and Hilary Clinton, role on WW3.

I hear Martin Lilley has just bought a yellow Taimar Roadster ( red ones are a bit common) perhaps he will join in on here!

Trouble with the red ones is you need 2 jacks to lift them up. The SKY is the limit with the blue and silver ones

I find it much easier to put the wheel back on if I have more than one jack.

Who is for betting it won't be yellow for long my money is on another very Common Red one!!! But as success in business is not about money I better not place a bet and might be accused of insider knowledge

Sorry Rudy
Not sure about the UK.
Although there is another one just like yours for sale on Cars and Classics? unless the seller is using his Stock as Collateral with the Bank????
Guess we will never know on both counts!:rolleyes

Since you joined these forums your postings have been at best " lightweight" but surely with this contribution you must have bottomed out!

I at least try to draw on my experience and knowledge to add either information or humour with my postings.

Your implications of fraudulent practises perhaps says more about you than it does about me. I was brought up in the " if you can't afford it you can't have it " times. Therefore if I own it, I own it. Perhaps that's why I only drive a 50 years old TVR , it's all I can afford. Luckily I have 2 spare ones and a genuine 3000S (not a converted hatchback) if I could ever afford to finish it's restoration or maybe I,ll just scrap it.

Rudy,s thread shows he is happy to LISTEN and LEARN and I,m sure that if you restore a 35 year old car of any marque it should be better than when you started and I know it will be excellent.

I am not sure I can add any more value to this forum and I am convinced your contributions can only improve. BYE
Mind you yours will look far better than that one very soon.

Good luck with number three. It seems to be a growing family ... or a nice addiction.

Best,
B.
