Bit of a surprise, when I saw that pop up on Facebook.Slimmed down 2-car entry for 2024....

I wonder how much they've slimmed down their creditors list (£6.1 million on their last submitted accounts).
Bet they're on proforma with all their suppliers/team members now.
Just seen in the comments of a BTCC Memes FB page (of all places!) a comment from Kieran James;
"Team HARD. Racing (tagged in the comment)
I suggest before you get yourself onto the grid you contact Cobra Financial Solutions Ltd to sort the small issue of the £208,000+ they are chasing you for on my behalf.
Slander/defamation doesn’t exist here because my information is factual. Before anyone starts their usual pish"

It is correct.*
Whilst I’m no longer friends with him on Facebook, he’s been going on for literally years about being owed this money.
[* correct that Kieran James is the artist formally known as Kieran Gallacher. No idea about the correctness of the debt figure etc ]

so the return of Team Hard strikes me as one of those 'phoenix from the flames' companies whereby clever accountants have managed to divest all the creditors into a burned business, and then Team Hard re appears. I wonder if the actual business name is something like 'Phoenix from the flames taking the piss out of our creditors'/ trading as Team Hard Racing 4?
As another poster mentioned, cash on delivery and no credit would be advised to any supplier.

Doesn't really matter how clever your accountants are when the debts are against material assets like racing cars and trucks unless you can convince another lender to pay off the previous debts.As another poster mentioned, cash on delivery and no credit would be advised to any supplier.
If they've managed to find someone to legitimately settle those debts then I doubt it's anyone you'd want to borrow money from.

The sad thing is drivers will pay good money for a poorly prepared car due to financial pressures, this will probably result in drivers quitting mid season
If they can't afford the going rate then they should race elsewhere. BTCC is far from the only game in town. I guess ego overcomes common sense a times. I know so many people who have mortgaged everything they own to keep racing.GlobalRacer said:

Ironically about 10 years ago I did the opposite. I had a reasonable five-figure sum saved for a season's racing but lost my job and had to spend the savings on my mortgage!Interesting article on the BTCC - https://www.autosport.com/btcc/news/why-the-btcc-i...
