Alpine Passes in an NSX.

Thread resurrection but for a good reason....
Flights are booked and having another go at this for the weekend of 9/10/11 August .
Flying to Bergamo instead of Memmingham and Dad not worked out the route yet but looking forward to it. Hopefully this time I will get to drive the car without the fear of overheating.

Kateg,
wonderful trip.
Now, hoping that you don't face any other mechanical problem, may I suggest an addition worth 100 Stelvios to your trip?
What I would do is once on top of the Stelvio start the descent towards Merano and turn on the SS44 (narrow but deserted magnificient road) until you reach Vipiteno, then head south-east on the SS49 to Villabassa, then SS51 to Cortina then SR48 on top of Falzarego and Rolle pass (guaranteed much better than the Stelvio!!) then SS241 to Bolzano, then from there, if you are tired, you can take the motorway back to Bergamo, otherwise if you fancy another couple of passes, SS42 to Iseo Lake and back to Bergamo.
Plenty of good places to eat/sleep along the way.
