At the worst you will be able to rule it out. And, you will have a RED STARTER BUTTON! Life is good.

When I've fitted the new red starter button to the 370...it will be matchy matchy with the M4 as well! biggrin

I've fitted the new red start/stop button and it has sorted the issue thankfully. I forgot to take a before pic though! I have put a pic up of the original button when it was out anyway.

Thanks again to Om for the suggestion with this. thumbup

Looks good. Now you are beginning to tempt me with your red buttons! Needless, pointless, but RED...

Thanks Om. thumbup

I'm hoping that this new starter button gives me about another 150bhp like the R35 GTR has with any luck now! hehe

If only it was that easy. But I think you may be disappointed sadly!

Still you've hopefully solved a problem. thumbup

Thanks Mr Tidy. thumbup

The car has passed the MOT today with flying colours which I'm chuffed about, but I only ended up doing 1100 miles in it though since the last MOT. It will be put on a SORN for 6 months at the end of the month, but I might get an opportunity to use it a couple of times before then if the weather behaves though.

The new stop/start button works a treat in comparison to the old one thankfully, and one gentle press is all you need now, whereas the old one would barely respond/or work at all. So that is a nice result too.

Good result in the dreaded MOT day!

My wife got dropped back from work last night by a friend in their 370Z Nismo. It looked and sounded really good.

I appreciate them now more than I did when they were current.

Yes Sam, and as you know I do always dread MOT day for sure! So it is always a good feeling when they pass I reckon.

I've always liked the extra little styling details with the Nismo model. cool

I'd like a NISMO too but my wife hates the red bits.
Not a problem I reckon - since I'd have one in black I'd just get busy with a magic marker biggrin
Of course, the missus is awkward and would choose another silver non-NISMO one.

It's all moot anyway since I'm told I need to get 2 other cars back on the road first. She doesn't understand.........

It is time to say goodbye to the 370 in a few days for 6 months while it is put on a SORN. frown

On a more positive note the Caterham will still be taxed and MOT'd though, so I will pop out in that when the weather is dry and decent enough over the winter.

I will definitely miss the 370, because I did last year when it went on a SORN for the first time over the winter.

That's sad, but at least you will have a toy ready for use on a good day!

Thanks a lot Mr Tidy. beer

The current weather is properly frustrating and it just always seems to be either wet or damp out on the roads at the moment, so I'm hoping going forward that we get the odd cold/bright and a few dry days all being well. I'm really itching to get out in the Caterham, but the weather just isn't playing ball though.

I could go out in it in the wet to be fair, but ideally I'd rather stick to dry days though. Maybe I'm just being too precious about it though in fairness.

You're not wrong Lee, the weather is truly garbage at the minute, never seems to stop raining and like you I prefer not exposing my cars to loads of crap on the roads.

It doesn't even just seem to be now either, this whole year has as wet as an otters pocket.

Definitely agree TRD. I had a bit of a period back in May when I first put the 370 back on road...where the weather wasn't too bad and I used it a fair bit, but since then it has been terrible as you say.

It starts to make you wonder if a second car or weekend car is actually worth it in this country now I reckon!
