Definitely. Makes the current hypercars including the new McLaren and Ferrari seem like bargain basement motors.

+1

It will be embarrassing for Lamborghini to show this at Geneva, 3x the price of either F150, 918, or P1, each of which I suspect has more R&D in their wheelnuts than Lamborghini has devoted to the whole of the Veneno

I would celebrate it, if it didn't typify their low budget attitude to development imo ...

What you say makes sense but £3.1 mill? Is there a new element/material that the car is made of? carbonGoldTitanium all in one or something? That's a REALLY high price. You could buy a 288GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and the new "F150" for that money.

It's their 50th but they are well and truly upstaged at Geneva by Ferrari, Porsche, McL, and even Pagani. They have to do something to grab headlines...

if i was buying one, then agreed, i'd want mats and flaps thrown in at the very least !

but, if they can sell three cars and pander to three very lucky collectors, maybe breakeven, generate a little publicity, maybe make the world a little richer in the wider sense, then why not ?

But they haven't, else they'd be churning out Cygnets and the like. They're just using, [gasp!]...new technology...which boosts performance and also happens to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. And besides, isn't doing more with less part 'n' parcel of the whole sports car game?

Big, thirsty, unsophisticated and old-tech "supercars" are dinosaurs. Relics. Their time has past. Like it or not, we're in the electric and electronic era. Even F1 agrees...

All this talk of the price is irrelevant though isn't it?

They're only making three of them and they're all sold. They probably could've charged £5m and they'd have sold. It's bragging rights among Lambo collectors.

Reminds me of an FXX a bit but I like it, just a shame about the build numbers because us plebs will likely never see one after Geneva
