And as I'm a middle aged man, I guess that conclusively means that the R8 is a sports car.

And as I'm a middle aged man, I guess that conclusively means that the R8 is a sports car.

Accepting that (some) supercars are, and the market demands that they be, much more reliable than their forebares, I'm not sure he was THAT reassuring. McLaren still have a very patchy reputation and older Ferraris too, even Porsche have lost their "bullet-proof" reputation of the past.(Or maybe they were only regarded as bullet proof relative to the opposition). Don't really want to bring up the R8 (whether you regard it as a supercar or not) - but it's one of a very few cars that I would consider outside the warranty period without some extended cover.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnBI0HYu-yc
