Thought this may be of interest to those who have ordered a V12VR - or would like to.

Make sure the sound is turned up because the car sounds awesome bouncebounceclap

Getting excited - yet again - and November seems such a long way away.

Doesn't sound like they have made it sound any quieter than the V12V . I always thought my V8R sounded quieter than the equivalent Coupe. It's going to be amazing driving one of those with the roof down across Europe. Planning the trip already !

We're going to have to arrange a V12VR meet for Le Mans 2013 - Maybe at Le Chartre on the Friday to keep with tradition ?

That sounds like a great plan LBS. I'll leave you in charge of arranging tunnel etiquette!!!

Not from the UK, but from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
I have a V12VR on order (#002), for production date Oct 13, 2012 :-)

Mine's going to be Cobalt Blue, with a Obsidian Black / Spectral Blue interior.

Sounds like a great colour combination. Black or blue roof?

Black roof.
I want the car to be completely black, blue and carbon. IMO the dark blue of the roof would spoil the look.

Not that I don't like the dark blue roadster roof. My current V8VSR has it, but that car is Stratus White with a dark blue interior. So there it matches perfectly.

Thanks, I found that domain for sale and just had to have it. Now running an Aston News blog on it.

Really looking forward to my blue beauty.
Still working with Q on some special requests. Nothing major, but some small finishing touches, like a "V12 Vantage" logo in the headrests, contrasting stitching in the A-pillars, steering wheel and inner seats, stuff like that. But the rest of the spec is final.

I'm in the same position with some similar requests

They don't exactly make it easy

I'm convinced there are people at Gaydon who genuinely believe Q exists as a proper department ! Reality is somewhat different........

I think Q is just a special email address at astonmartin.com ... :-)

"Send your special customization requests to q@astonmartin.com !"

I'd prefer it if they were honest about it - they keep coming up with department names like Tailored & Q but the fact remains, ask for anything outside the normal options and they just suck their teeth, tell you it will be expensive, tell you it probably can't be done and then give you no guidance as to how to get a quote - better if they just stopped publishing this 'we will cater to any request at a price' baloney

I asked at the factory about inner seat stitching and it was pretty much a no go unless it was through Q.Then I saw what wanted on a V12VR press release photo and thought it may be standard. Then I am told it isn't standard but a cost option! At least I was told how much and could make a decision . Seems like you guys are still waiting for prices! The only doubt that I still have is about my seat choice! My wife wants a heated seat so guess that's the decision made!

Aston Martin are the only company in the world who would release details of a new model with photos of a car full of options you can't actually buy ! Try getting a price on that red CF or the red painted grille ! :-) Or getting official confirmation of exactly what the V12VR wheels will look like......I have a firm order for a car and I don't know what the final spec will be - for instance they decided to make bright grille an extra the night after I visited Gaydon (I still have my 'spec sheet' that says bright grille is standard)

So yes, still waiting on prices/doability........
