I really need to get hold of a locking wheel nut key type C otherwise I'm looking at £1000 for a new set of TVR alloys.

Seems a bit quiet on here (no offence) so does anyone know which the largest UK Jaguar forum is so that I can post on that one?

Thanks.

I don't know what their forums are like, but try contacting the JEC (Jaguar Enthusiasts Club). They rent tools out, so if they have one you can at least remove nuts and replace them.

Any fast fit tyre place has now got the reverse torque type locknut extractors, so no need to panic.
And BTW, this forum is about 10 times more active than the other one mentioned above.

Ring Eurojag 01325 72 27 77.

I snapped the lugs off my locking wheel nut key and they posted a used one as soon as I put the phone down.

Thanks for all the replies.

I managed to find a local JEC rep and went round to check his locking nut keys.

Turns out that mine aren't Jag either.

Many garages have ways of removing locking wheel nuts without the tools, but they will be scrap afterwards.

But the xkec forum is not free--you apparently have to pay a membership fee to join the club.

Yes you do need to pay a fee, but you also get a quarterly magazine, really helpful forum mechanics, and some money goes to charity. Also no adds in the website, one of my greatest annoyances.

Somebody receommended Jag Lovers Forum. However this is an American orientated forum run by about 12 US based persons who seemed to use it it to exchange private messages. Not recommended.

Well, there are quite a few forums on Jag-Lovers, I'm not sure which ones you've had a problem with, but I've also found them very helpful. I'm mostly to be found in the XK forum (not XK8), I used to frequent the X300 (inc X308 & X350) but don't normally have time these days. The XK Engine forum and E-Type forums have been very helpful to me in the past too.

Can't vouch for the other forums on Jag Lovers. But to me it is well worth my regular donation to help keep it going.

All forums tend to have quite a bit of private banter. There is a lot here, and has been on every other internet forum I've ever been involved with over the last 20plus years.
