Which Lamborghini Owners Club?

In my view lamborghinichat.com is better than either of the other two forums (fora?).
I didn't realise there was more than one UK club; I've found that the main one (Lamborghini Club UK, lamborghiniclub.co.uk) are very friendly, helpful and at all the main events (Silverstone Classic etc).

Right - I tried not to make a comment for fear of opening myself up to a bucket load of abuse, but what the hell,
"Why join an owners club ?"
There - I have said it. This is a genuine question that I really want someone to give me some positive reasons for joining. When I bought my first "Marque", I joined the relevant club. I thought I would be attending shows and displaying the car, participating in some driving events and generally meeting like minded people - It did not go well (the details are not relevant) and I have avoided owners clubs ever since.
Is it because I race cars and therefore spend loads of time at race tracks, and I support Dream Rides with Sporting Bears as many times as I can during a year, that perhaps I am already getting my fill of the experience an Owners Club can provide its members ?
Please don't misinterpret my post - I am NOT against Owners Clubs or people who are members - there are 1000's of people out there members of various clubs...I just want someone to give me some positive reasons for supporting such clubs. Could it be my bad experience was just a freak one off and I am therefore judging all others unfairly ? What am I missing out on ?

NeilH - I agree with you and have had a very similar experience, probably the reason why i've had the Lambo 6 months and still not yet got round to joining a club. Not being a member i think i must be missing out, but i'm sure that once i've joined i'll look back and think "That was £xx for nothing"
Pre-internet owners clubs were very informative and beneficial, but now i'm not sure they offer as much as they did..............?

Ian & Neil I think you've both made valid points ie pre-internet & scarcity of time - both of which have to some extent affected owners clubs
But there is still a market for them both as an initial point of contact for new owners to specialist marques and also going forward to ensure socialising with like minded folk
There is also the financial clout of being part of an organised group be it single marque track days or dealer discounts and in the latter case the reverse is also relevant since it gives the manufacturer a better focus for creating owner commitment
And as noted lets hope this can be kept as a broader non-specific discussion (despite the section its ended up in !)
