Well I've had the car for years, it used to be my daily, but a baby and the realization that there are better cars for going up and down the M1 to work meant I bought a Volvo s60 (great for the job) and set to work track prepping the clio. It has a uprates pagid rs12 pads, brembo hc discs, sportline springs on cup dampers (which work great), lightweight battery relocated to boot, most stuff stripped out, stainless ktec exhaust and finally the ktec turbo conversion. Which I have spent some time making right as its less than perfect out of the box. Still have poly windows, door cards, turbo water plumbing and oil cooler to do but I thought I'd pop up some pics now. I've had allot of fairly raw cars inclusing an evo6 tvr chimaera hc and lotus Elise but this thing on a good b road is plain silly! 250bhp per tonne if I've done my maths right. I'll weigh and dyno it soon but hoping for sub 900kg and 225 bhp.

Hope the pics will link from google docs...

Looks great and must be fun, but please fit a cage or a bar across the rear damper mounts or mounts in the floor to attach the harnesses to so the belts are shorter and straight.

I've gone for the upper position because its better than I lower mount which will compress the spine in a crash! I accept they are longer than desireable.

nice car but dangerous with the harnesses attached like that, just get a half cage - 30kg but so much safer

Out out interest, what were the issues with the 'bolt on turbo package'?

Looks smart mate, as said, no doubt it goes well!

The only thing I would change, is fitting a lower grille, I'm not a fan of intercoolers hanging out - its all about stealth!

I don't really trust a bolt in cage to secure the belts, might make a harness bar up.

I do have the lower grill and may be a good idea to help stop stone damage.

Bought a set of r888s yesterday, should tame second gear a bit!

The oil drain is household plumbing and was useless. Changed to hydraulic fittings. The turbo nuts were changed to copper plated binding ones. Modified the intercooler routing And I had to swop to 182 cup driveshaft to get clearance for oil return/drain.
