He was one of the few MPs who I would call a public servant rather than a politician. It says he was not married and did not have any children. He was focused and dedicated to his work.

He studied economics at uni and made use of that in this career. He cared more about doing good for the public that promoting his own career. His high profile speaks volume about his work and dedication.

One of the very few principled people in Politics. RIP.

Yep. Principled and very well respected. We need more of his ilk. RIP.

I really rated the bloke. Pragmatic, not wedded to any ideology, in touch with the concerns of local people.

An all-round good guy; he'll be missed.
