(Probably) Getting a Portofino

I posted a long post the other day with some questions but it was deleted for “being in the form of a Wiki.”
I’ll try again.
I’m thinking of selling my McLaren 650s and my Emira and getting a Portofino. I’ve two young children (aged six and four) and this seems a sensible time to get a 2+2 so we can all go out together, and a Portofino is also likely to be a bit “easier” to use for normal stuff than the current cars.
I’m going to be a bit picky on the spec; I don’t want a black car, only want black leather if the car is white, and very much want what I think were the optional seats which look a bit more funky.
Is there anything that I need to be aware of? I’m intending to buy from a Ferrari dealer, not an independent.

Great cars, perfect for what you need.
Nothing particularly troublesome with them that i'm aware of.
Colour obviously very subjective - I think the white is the worst colour, I saw a deep blue (maybe TDF) with the dark tan sports seats down in south of france that looked exceptional ... seen a couple in rosso corsa with the roof wrapped/painted in black and it made it look a much more menacing machine

One thing I would query is getting 2 kids in the back for any real duration. Have you tried to see if the full family can fit in it with seats adjusted etc? From memory, it's not a genuine 2+2...

The children are still very little, so as long as they can be jammed in for shorter journeys it’ll still be OK.One thing I would query is getting 2 kids in the back for any real duration. I’ll make sure of it though before buying.
Well still have a Range Rover for the big trips and an electric Smart for the school run and shopping.
I remember going to the Ferrari Challenge in Monza around the time of the Portofino launch. There were a few of them in various configurations and at least two were painted in a new metallic red called “Rosso Portofino”. Not sure whether it’s triple layer, but what a fantastic color! The complex surfaces of the Portofino seem to get an extra diamension in that color.
Another feature I noticed that made a considerable difference was the bicolor option with the roof and A-pillars painted in black. I am personally not a fan of it.
If I remember correctly there were 3 different wheel designs, but from that day I have never seem a Portofino with any other than the standard wheel choice.

My 9 and 12 year old kids fit fine in my Portofino for short trips. I have to put the driver’s seat about an inch closer than my normal position so my daughter fits behind, then my older son fits in the back on the passenger side behind my wife. I wouldn’t do a 200 mile journey like that, but for days out close to home it’s fine. Ferrari put a lot of effort into slimming down and sculpting the backs of the front seats to give more rear legroom than in a California. It’s no worse than a 991/992 era 911 in the back.

This serves to demonstrate what brilliant value the Portofino is in the UK (and most used Ferraris for that matter), compared to in Europe. I paid 2/3rds of that for a 4 year old car with 4000 miles and a very generous spec from a Ferrari dealer. Yes, seats are Daytona. The wheels you are after were an upgrade and I’ve only seen 2 uk cars with them. I had a Black on Black 2019 loaner with them on.
My car is near 4 years old 16k miles. Lots of euro and uk road trips. Had one A\c issue last summer. Cleared after a regass under warranty.
Not used my back seats for passengers, but not much room back there. Would certainly advise trying one with the little people before too much searching. I had 911s before and the back seats are certainly less useable in the Porto. It’s the only thing that I’ve seen as deficient in the car.

I think that I might have found the car that I want. It's in "Hostoric very effeminate powder blue" (I think that 's the name) with the below options.
