does anyone know what this backdrop is ...ie where this photo was taken?
This ad happens to be with a dealer in Ilford

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202404259...

But a number of cars at a dealer in Slough all had this same background as well, including a car that i was interested in..this one (the ebay ad now says Peterborough)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/326102603661?mkcid=16&a...

So the exact same car has been for sale in two places in the last week, using the same pics
A search on Tineye of the main image shown in the ad revealed the exact same picture was used in an ebay advert on 4th September 2022. That pic (which was of the car front) is not shown of this ebay ad
The address of the "dealer" was a small terraced house in Slough so my spidey senses wondered if it was some sort of scam

The background (and photos, therefore) is from cars listed for sale through BCA.

ah thanks for BCA info. Still seems a bit weird why a dealer would be using pics that were used in 2022 to advertise a car. Surely its not been on their forecourt since then !?!
Also the same car (Lexus) for sale in two locations/dealers in the same week seems weird - Slough and Peterborough

Potentially lazy dealers, who can’t be bothered to take any up to date photos. I always ignore these adverts personally.

I see it fairly often on dealers round here - it’s computer generated.

They used to take the pictures out front of the dealers but just use the same computer backdrop now.

One dealer has their own turntable room to take the pictures though, which is a lot better as it’s good consistent light.

I’ve noticed several dealers are stuffed with stock, it’s difficult to park when visiting so maybe they don’t have the space to take their own pictures.

It's possible for the buyer of the car from BCA to download the pictures from the listing once bought, they then use them for their advert, sometimes before they've even collected the car. I think it's lazy and unprofessional to list a car that's not even on site available to buy or had any sort of inspection in a workshop and prepared for sale.
