I've fitted a Forge DV007 to my TT and honestly can't say it's made any noticable diffrence.
However I've had it chipped by AMD and that has made a diffrence. Big time!!!
I've also had it lowered (using H&R springs) which makes it feel a bit less prone to body roll on fast corners.
I've taken it on a few tracks and have become very aware that the std. brake are prone to fading so that will be my next upgrade (using one specificialy developed for the TT - so as not to interfere with the ABS/ESP - i.e. StopTech or APR brakes).
But honestly the most worthwile upgrade was spending a few days with an advanced driving tutor who owns his own TT. (www.drivetrain.uk.com/)

For a chip you can expect to pay between £500 and £800 which will typicialy include fitting.
I've never heard of anyone having problems with any of the main brands (e.g. AMD, MTM, ABT, APR, ForgeREVO, Superchips). I like the idea behind the ForgeREVO solution but I don't have any data on the power/tourque increase. I got 265bhp and 310flb tourque with the AMD hand tuned chipping solution which I suspect is still the optimial (but most expensive) soultion.
Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll be really chuffed!

The revo sounds pretty good. No hardware changes, and additional programmes are made available through dongles (remember those?). The guys behind it are all ex-APR, and apparently are offering some kind of upgrade from APR to Revo to establish a customer base. Having said that, it is an 'off the shelf' programme, and hand tuning a la AMD will always produce the best results.
