last 2º rangie , a great car that have allways missed a great diesel engine and a rear diff-lock as did defender and discovery ... and a better suspension not so soft ... worst than the classic must goe away but the new one is even worst

Yes - I saw it on the M5 the other evening. Most ARG/Jag/etc. test cars come down the M5 and then find their way back up via main roads - in the past we've seen the new Mini, the Rover 75 estates, jags, etc. Some still have the dummy pads on the panels to disguise the bodywork.

The new one looks very bulky - massive body with few 'accents' to break up the slab sides. Silver, with no badging except the Range Rover on the front. Really did look as if it would be more at home with the 'big ass trucks' in the US.

I had the pleasure of driving a new shape Diesel Rangie at the weekend. V. nice! Goes like stink for a bus with a diesel engine but couldn't quite tell how fast cos' it was LHD and in KPH.

Handled quite well for a 4x4 too. Biggest problem was there were so many buttons for all the gadgets that I couldn't actually work anything!

Cheers
Alan
