Granada cosworth calipers + Sierra 2wd cosworth 283 discs.....

You have to open the upright mount holes to 12mm and they fit straight on.

Many have done this now, had mine on for over 3 years and they are great.

1991-on granada cosworth rwd. Castings must be marked 888 and 887. Prob easier to find Mondeo v6 1993-2000. Again make sure the castings are 888 and 887. Two different types fitted. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CARRIERS AS WELL!!!!

Try the online catalogue at www.brakesint.co.uk this has great technical brake info on all ford models!

The DISCS are from the 2WD Sierra Cossie. They are 4 Stud. The calipers & carriers Are Granada Cossie items. The number of studs don't come into it from thne caliper point of view.

Sierra Cosworth 4*4 or Escort Cosworth front calipers, single piston calipers.

Not the original 3 door calipers as they are 4 pots and bigger and on conversions on 15" wheeled Fords won't fit in without some machining of flanges etc

You will also need to put a washer between each of the carrier to hub mounts to space it out, or the carrier will rub on the disc. I just used bog std ones from B&Q.
I took some pictures as I did mine. I'll see if I still have them if it will help.

I made 1mm (0.040&quotwink thick spacers which centralised them perfectly, washers of the right thickness will do the job fine.

Personally, I'd use Ferodo DS2500 (FCP 685 for the Cossie callipers if I'm not mistaken) on plain, standard discs.

If you go to any motor factors & order the discs a std set of plain 283mm oem discs will be around £50 for the pair.

Do keep a close eye on what you're getting though... lots of cheap cr*p from China being bought in by major brand names these days and Brembo, just about the last major OEM disc supplier to make all their discs in their own factoies, doesn't list the 283 mm Cossie discs sadly.

Ben, I'm using EBC grooved and dimpled discs, red stuff pads and Goodridge lines - work a treat, loads of bite even from cold.

Cheapest place I found was Proven Products in Tavistock (01822 613200) speak to Kev, discs and pads £200
