George, I will be back at Marham for that weekend. Not back to work for another couple of weeks though. Living it up in the sun instead!

Sweet!! I'll stick you down on the volunteers list. It looks like it's the usual faces for help as always. Can we use the white beast for recovery or are you sick of people running into the back of you??? LOL

That dosent suprise me, for some reason people dont like standing in the middle of a windswept airfield. The beast should be running that weekend, ill fit an extra large break light this time, they might just see it!

I've just embarked on an unusual engine conversion with a 4 week deadline, so you're not alone.
Oh tell me more i have just done a nice engine swap...
I'm doing a turbo conversion into my 205. The unusual bit is that i'm mating it to an auto box, which to my knowledge hasn't been done before. If it does get done in time, i don't know how long the gearbox will last with all the extra torque.

Well I'll be there with the MGA, plus a few mates with Frogeyes and Midgets (albeit one less Midget than in April.....) and another couple of random additions of a TVR, a VXR and an Audi S3.

Ian, very well done for your organisation and patience - a cracking job of getting the PHers all in line and sorted out before the event. Look forward to seeing you again there.

Use Red Line Racing auto box fluid - normal mineral stuff will get hot, degrade, go brown smell horrid and let the clutch bands burn out. From experience of racing offroad with an autobox, the Red Line stuff works a treat!

Thanks for the tip. This turbo lump produces almost double the torque of the original engine, so it'll need all the help it can get.

I'm still missing vital parts though and time is running out. If anyone has a spare auto flywheel for an XU peugeot/citroen engine, message me please.
