Common Purpose, who are they?

After begrudgingly paying my TV licence on-line, I in a huff did a google search on TV licence rip off.

This is where I found out about a fairly secret organisation called "Common Purpose" apparently it has charity status, but some opponents believe its a organisation to infect every level of governance/society, members are sworn to "common purpose" before any other body/country.
Lots of public bodies from MP's Army to local councils are all infected at every level with them.

Basically from what I can gather they want to rid us of our democracy, are pro EU, now I don't know if this is all hogwash, but some of the web links seem to prove a very insidious Marxist/communists way of controlling us the lowly serfs.
