Post photos of your MINI stripes!
Discussion
Have a look on www.minipirate.com website, he's got some some great ideas & will do custom work as well. Phil is well respected on the MINI forums, I'd recommend him to anyone .
Here's mine when it was sparkly new in the dealership:

Now has JCW chrome side vents, but haven't got around to changing the dash colour or upgrading the suspension. One word of warning, my insurance company wanted to up my premium by £96 - I politely told them the stripes were a standard BMW part costing £100 & that if that price was real I'd take the stripes off again. They relented
P.S. The dealer charged £200 for fitting.

Try and do something original. There are loads of Viper Stripes already.
Agreed, bonnet and viper stripes like that are a bit played out now on MINIs. However, if you were to go for it, how about something a bit more subtle like a matt red? However, definately a case of each to their own, personally I prefer the clean look.
Given that you're posting on PH and going off your profile, how about investing the cash elsewhere in the car like a set of lightweight wheels and non-runflat tyres (if you have RFs)? The difference in handling a set of lightweights makes over the S Spokes is supposedly enourmous. I say "supposedly" as I still have S Spokes (I have plans though!)... Ditching the runflats will also make an enormous difference too
