I've just booked my Mondeo in for the 5th year service, which will include a cambelt change.

I was quoted £360 by my local dealer. Is this right? Seems very expensive to me!!!
Reagrds,

Seems reasonable. When I was shopping round for a major service on my Rover 600, the main dealer quoted £255 for the cambelt change alone. Granted, it's a different car. The last Escort Cosworth service we had cost £1500 - though obviously there were a few more bits than just a major service!

Hi

your car isn't really due a cam belt as yet, but the quoted price does seem to be inclusive.

I don't know what region your in, but in the north west a standard 5yr/50k service is about £107+vat
and

about £275 with a belt as extended maintainance

I've got a Mk1 (1995) 1.8 mondeo and according to my service book the cambelt should be changed after 80,000 miles or 5 years.

I use an independant garage which until a couple of years ago was a ford garage (all the mechanics still have their Ford overalls). I would expect to pay about 50 to 100 quid less than that.
