rx8 VAG 20v motor

hi im doing a conversion on a rx8 with a VAG 20 motor (audi TT) , not many pics at the moment but nearlt finished the adapter plate to the rx8 gearbox and getting the flywheels made . this one is a standard 210 motor just with a remap and front mount intercooler , i will do a bigger power one when i get it all working should make a nice car !!

Hi Martin , I don't think the car warrants a Ls motor as I costs to much , the vag motor should work well I hope !!!

i did look at the honda engine but they are lots more money for less power , this is as much about getting them back working as making awsome power ( even though big power can be had). if the vag motor bores people then alter the dynamics to how you like it either make it a rev monster or a torque monster its just cams turbos etc . it depends on what you want from the car if its a track day tool them set it up as one but this one is a every day car so it all has to work as it should , the next one is ready to start and it will be way more focused

It's getting there ( slowly) got lots of Ls stuff in at the moment !! Which is nice . Putting a Ls in it is way more money and doing it this way I think it will work real well for sensible money , and it keeps all the steering etc in stock position . Twin turbo v8 would just be silly !!

its a 210 motor thats been 'chipped' so even if its only 230-240 its better that the 193 that was in it , this car is for a feind of mine and the power is not that important it will be plenty . i will do another for myself for track daying etc and go for nearer 400 with that one , these engines are way cheaper and more plentifull than s2000 engines as well .
