I'm replacing head gasket on a 1946 Sunbeam Talbot 10. (1185cc side valve). Taken 7 hours to lift head but thankfully nothing broke, the original studs are not in the best shape and wish to replace.

Studs are BSF and selection of lengths, does anyone know is EN16T is a suitable material in this instance?

Thanks

Thanks, sadly the threads aren't the best. Could clean up but for sake of new studs would prefer to replace.

Really don't fancy converting to bolts.

I can't obtain a full set of OEM, so a mixture of old and new or replace the lot machined from EN16T.

New valves were off the shellf. cloud9
