If I were you I'd burn the letter and forget all about it. There are several places on a lady where baldness and acceptable/attractive the head is not one of them.

Hand the opened letter to your sister and while doing so say, "Sorry, I opened this by mistake when I was drunk".

This is the secret to a happy marriage. Always lead with "sorry", always blame the drink.

OP.

Tell wife what you have told us, came home, half cut, opened post, didn't realise that this was for Baldylocks until I had started to read it.

"Your sister, your call. I vote you tell her you opened it rather than me as a lot less embarrassing for your sister and I'll just have to keep my trap shut!"

Sorry, I'm from Norfolk where it is very much encouraged.

Although things do look smaller in six fingered hands, so there are downsides.
