The new BMW 1200GS Liquid Cooled.
Discussion
Same here, BMW Motorrad Central had their launch at Dalhousie Castle near Dalkieth. Great weather, and it was a very well attended affair.
The bike itself looks really good, and is actually quite slim around the radiators, which surprised me. Also, the clutch is unbelievably light, one finger job.

I popped in here for a bit at about half 2 or so as well, only 10 miles from home for me! What time were you there?
Was impressed, great bike, especially that touring one they had. The salesman told me that about 16 people had bought them already, all without even a test ride
A lot of money on a brand new model bike you haven't even tried!
The dealers only mishap was the promo girl who didn't speak English very well...

Do like that but I'm hoping for the price of the 'old' air-cooled model to drop. Even when I think I can spunk £14k on a motorbike, all the insurance companies say NO!
Thanks for saving me from myself insurance companies.
Was going to pop down to Redhill Motorrad on the Street today but didn't wear enough gear and was bloomin' freezin'. Took me all day at home to get the chill out of me old bones.
Nature's way of telling me I need heated grips and a screen

There was a comment from the reviewer in Bike mag that the BMW went into a tank slapper when the front wheel went over a bump.
I wouldn't read to much into that tbh. This is from someone I know:
Just been fortunate enough to have spent the day riding about 200k around Morocco on the new bike along with umpteen others. I've done plenty of offroad with my 2007GS but riding the new one with gizmos allowed it to make mincemeat of situations that I'd have struggled with on mine. The "A" team we certainly pushing the bikes to the limits and no one encountered any worrying behavior. If you like the old one I reckon you're gonna love this.

Edit: skip the vid forward a bit for the offroad stuff.

Eh? Why discount what Bike magazine say, but believe what a BMW sales manager thinks about a bike that he sells? Of course your man thinks the new one is ace, isn't that his job? This is from someone I know:
