Hennessy XO

I much prefer a good Malt to a Cognac, but find that the two cancel each other out.

An Olorosso sherry or a Pimms.

Used to go for Cognac or Whisky as a 'winter' option, but now rarely ever smoke indoors. Particularly a cigar due to the length of time it takes to smoke one without getting frostbite. Takes the enjoyment away.

Now a cigar tends to be a summer treat after a wedding or at an outdoor event like le Mans or another camping trip.

Nah, you just need a big coat.

And a hat.

And thick socks.

I can't stand whiskey or anything of that ilk, so my drink of choice tends to be a large glass of red wine, probably something like a South American Malbec.

Mmmmm, cigar and wine...

I've been a non-smoker for some years now, so I have to avoid cigars , just in case of waking up the nicotine receptors.

I used to enjoy them in the past though, and found the best matches to be Brandy/Cognac, and sometimes a good port. Favourite brandies tended to be Hine or Delamaine, preferably an XO when pocket allowed.

Just one of the downsides of packing up the nicotine habit I suppose rolleyes

Varied based on mood. However, the usual selection are:

Hennessy XO
Remy Martin XO
Balvenie 21 Year Old
Macallan 21 Year Old
Royal Salute 21 Year Old
Appleton Estate 21 Year Old Rum
Something full bodied from Marqués de Riscal
A strong, smooth Black Americano!

When is the PH Only Gala Opening?! Make it a Saturday Night! biggrin

The majority of the time we sell Hennessey XO at work, it is with a cigar.

I've found Calvados works best, but it depends on the cigar.
