That looked like a bit of a message from Froome to the Sky management.
(maybe!)
My thoughts exactly...(maybe!)
...might just go and have a few quid on him winning the GC in the next 3 years or so!
The question is, would a professional cyclist 'send a message' in such a fashion?
Pro cyclists know they are paid professionals and know how the game is played. They know they are there to do a job. I presume Froome is experienced and mature enough to know that he was brought in to support Wiggins this year, and that Sky will not throw away their ace (the team work) or suddenly swap to a bloke over 2 minutes in arears. I am sure he knows that his time will come, probably next year or the year after.
Sky seem to be maintaining a pace that they will be able to do day after day after day. It is how they plan to win. Look at Voeckler, hero yesterday, nowhere today. He decided to put his eggs in the stage win basket (and why not?), but he is now picking up the tab.
If Froome breaks ranks to win a stage, fine, but can he back that up for the rest of the tour? The simple answer is we do not know. A lot of people seem to be getting all over excited and merely assuming he can.
Sky are professionals, Froome and Wiggo are professionals. They are playing the numbers game as they know that is how they will win. I do not think Froome would be so impetuous as to start 'sending messages' to management, especially not at this stage of this race.

Froome today reminded me of a wild animal unleashed, incredible talent, I think he thought Wiggo was with him when he went, he knows who's the boss. However, Evans had an off day today, it happens, tomorrow it could be BW, who knows, but the tour isn't over yet, and the Pyrenees are yet to come. Those SKY boys have lots more pulling to do, strong team indeed.

I think Froome needs to wind his neck in a bit, he'll get his chance, and sooner rather than later. I think he needs a word in his shell like from the management of Sky. We all know what he's capable of, but there's a time and a place to show it.
Wiggo was saying afterwards that the radio messages were all mixed up, go and slow were hard to understand, wiggo was taking a breath after getting back at nibali and Froome got a message to 'go" Froome isn't playing games, he wants Wiggo to win because that is his Job this year.
