Picture the scene. You hear it first. One of those lazy 70's Chevrolet Corvettes with the lazy engine burbling along. It's a convertible in a rather 'orrible off white. I clock the reg number and only put 2 and 2 together after I've passed it. It was correctly spaced as well which made it all the better

Some plates at Oulton Park at the weekend, though it's a bit easy getting these at classic car shows:

And "44 CC" on a silver Mercedes 4x4 on the way home. Not sure whether two of those belong in the "chavvily spaced" thread instead.

Not a 'real good plate' but I recently paid a grand for 4 WXA I also have 6 WXA which ive had for some time they have no relevance to me other than I own them both however I think they are quite a nice set.
That's a good plate for the money.
Agree, I like those. They don't have to be relevant to you to be good!
If you are interested, this was one of the last non-suffix combinations issued, in 1964 in London.

Prius in Edgware - 8 RUM. I'm sure it would have looked better on a little yellow Austin...

No pictures unfortunately, and I think it may have been mentioned on this thread before, but saw MON 2A on an immaculate white Opel Monza the other day - yes it's using the 2 as a Z, but it was legally spaced, and just looked superb

That's a good spot, not least because Monzas are so rare now (9 left, according to a chap I was talking to at the weekend). I've seen two with a "GSE" plate, one of them being "C2 GSE".

I didn't check, but then the "How Many Left" site is not regarded as an example of accurate data, being based on DVLA records. Perhaps he meant his specific model of Monza. It did sound a bit low, in fairness.

Several decent plates around Nottingham today:

333 JOE - BMW 3-series

L4 NES - BMW X5

10 BUT - Skoda Superb

JBN 2 - A very badly driven Mercedes S500. Lovely looking car though.

M4 YES - Toyota Avensis

T4 RAS - Full fat Rangey

5 KEY - Toyota Transit owned by Frank Key builders merchants. One of many 'KEY' plates owned by the company.

111 MAY - Honda Prelude.

Now I keep seeing this plate around Chesterfield and unsure if I asked about it here yet.

JE51CAZ - Audi Q7 3.0TDi

I personally think it looks quite good, but my mates think it is chavvy. I will try and get a picture. Not mis-spaced or altered.

Any opinions? smile

Monzas were rare from.... Day 1 -outsold by most of its rivals
Monza was cut price BMW 6 series rival - but 6 series seems to have outsold it.Shame it was overlooked.
