Given them a call and see what they can do last min, could probably pick up your tickets from the agent at the campsite.
Thanks for the heads up but £99.00 each quite alot of money when its 15euros for other camp sites? Any other sites anyone is heading too that are more in the Forrest areas?

Me and my mate are planning on leaving Edinburgh via channel tunnel Saturday to get there Sat night/very early hours Sunday morning......we have just decided now!

From what everyone is planning I assume we are going to be struggling to get pitched up somewhere?
Can anyone suggest the best campsite for us to try given our very late arrival? We dont mind a long walk to track really.....?

Also how much will camping and tickets be?

Been to the ring twice before but not for an event such as this and cant wait although not looking forward to Tue/Wed at work - going to be 1 long weekend!
You don't know me, but I'm going to ask you to trust me.

Stay at home.

I arrived this morning at 10. The main campsite was already almost full and I struggled to find a pitch. It is raining the way it does in Scotland. You know, that heavy incessant miserable rain. I already have a river running through my tent, my kitchen area, my soul.

And I fking hate techno already.

Still. Only another five days to go.

I'll be there tomorrow afternoon until Wednesday.

Can't wait to get into my air-conditioned room, wi-fi and good breakfast, and I'm only 50M from the track! biggrin

Well, I for one can't wait to get there and see your cheerful face.

And as a fellow PHer, I'll even let you use my shower if you wish, don't want to be queueing up for a one minute tepid dribble in the middle of a field!

A tepid dribble is all Output Flange can manage. (So I've heard)

When you say 'main campsite' I hope you don't mean the travel destinations one? We are arriving tomorrow afternoon and I'm half hoping there will be a semi-allocated pitch...

Right then, for those of us that have not been able to make it this year you will need:

http://www.24h-rennen.de/uploads/media/13-05-13_24...

Audi TV usually have a good stream
http://tv.audi.de/#/01

Official Stream is
http://www.24h-rennen.de/en/

GPS Tracking
http://www.24stundenonline.de/event.php

English commentary by the awesome chaps that we listen to at Le Mans every year
http://radiolemans.0157.org/nplayer.php

connect your laptop to your tele, get a stream up, turn the volume to mute. Open a window with radio le mans, turn up the volume and connect to your amp.

It did. The Monday is a German B/H, so they changed the days.

I posted a few pics from Saturday afternoon and Sunday in the photography forum, in case anyone's interested. It's my 2nd time at the race, and it's probably fair to say I have a love/hate relationship with it hehe. At times I was wondering WTF I was doing there, but I'm glad I made the effort as it is one of those truly special events. Almost dried out now.

Full set here, on flickr. Hope you enjoy smile
